So I still need an article for the semester story, and I literally have no idea what I can write about. It obviously poses an interesting scenario because it can't be a semester long story if I do start it rather soon.
You could write something about how effective certian programs are on the student body. For example the Center for Diversity, or the Orientation program for new students, or required study tables or something.
You can do your article on the baseball team getting their new indoor hitting facilities at the stadium for the winter months. Interview Coach Lewis about the designs and use. Interview Coach White about the fundraising.
You can write a story of the increase of violence on campus. There might not actually be an increase, but the incidents are being talked about a lot more this year.
